It's a wrap, folks!!
Day 29:

Crowned, Queen Josephine.

A month has certainly passed us by!
:)
I hope you all not only enjoyed the visuals of the "Celebrating History" Project/ Crowned Series, but also took the time out to research these people and get a better understanding of their significance and the roles they played in African American History that helped shape the world we live in today.

Up next, these images on apparel.
As demanded, I'll be doing shirts, bags & jewels based around these influential characters, so pleaseee keep it locked!

Thank you to everyone, for everything, always!

Day 18: Celebrating History// Huey P. Newton

Founder of the Afro-American Society & co-founder of the Black Panther Party, Huey Newton.

One hell of a man.
His birthday was yesterday, and not a damn thing was happening anywhere around, in remembrance of.
-_-

I can't stress the importance of studying history & seeking out those unsung heroes, because without extensive research, you may never know.
Afterall, we weren't taught about these heroic figures while in school.

Reflecting.

Queens, On Sale.

A Queen has a dash of inspiration, a dabble of endurance.
She knows that she will, at times, have to inspire others
to reach the potential God gave her.
She respects herself and others.
She knows love, therefore she gives love.
She is aware of who she is. She neither seeks definition from
the person she is with, or does she expect them to read her mind.
She is quite capable of articulating her needs.
A Queen knows her past, understands her present and
moves toward the future.
She understands that her life experiences are merely lessons, meant
to bring her closer to self knowledge and unconditional self love.
Queen.

"Queens" necklace currently ON SALE.
Only a few left.

I Wish:

wish that i was told by my father that there will be times where i will feel like i can not win,
and there will come these problems in life that i do not think that i can conquer.
and in those situations, there is just nothing that i can do to make everything better
and that i will struggle and drown and want to break down.
there is no easy way out of those scenarios and i will have to suffer through those darkest times.
those problems to me will feel like an insurmountable mountain range,
one that will be difficult to climb or pass.
but some day i believe that i will look back on these mountains and see how i have conquered them
and i will look back and laugh,
seeing that i have won, that i have not let the world defeat me this time around.

Lovings'

An inspiring story on interracial marriage, airing on HBO on Valentine's day.

Oh the beauty of a two-tone color contrast..

Day 9: Celebrating History// The Sixties Papers

A MUST HAVE:

The Sixties Papers// Documents of a Rebellious Decade

"The turbulent decade of the 1960s has been analyzed and interpreted by numerous journalists and scholars. The former movement leaders, Judith Albert and Stewart Albert "tell it like it was", presenting material generated by the social protest movements. Challenging the prevailing view that the decade failed to produce influential enduring ideas, the authors demonstrate that the new left and counterculture produced a coherent body of critical thought about the nature of American society."
